WASHINGTON – Senator Chuck Grassley will hold constituent meetings in Central Iowa on May 2.
Grassley said he has planned town meetings in Eldora, Marshalltown and Boone. He also will tour Burke Corporation in Nevada and have an hour-long meeting with employees there.
“Representative government is a two-way street. It’s strengthened by dialogue between elected officials and the people we represent,” Grassley said. “I like to hold town meetings, where everyone is invited to attend and ask questions on any subject, as well as meetings where I go to people in their workplaces to reach those who may not be able to get to a town meeting.”
Grassley has held at least one meeting with Iowans in every one of the state’s 99 counties since 1980, when he was first elected to serve in the U.S. Senate.
Below is more information. The town meetings are open to the public, and Grassley will be available for 15 minutes after each meeting to answer questions from local reporters.
