WASHINGTON – Senator Chuck Grassley’s regional office in Cedar Rapids and the federal building in which the office is located are closed due to flooding and are expected to remain closed for the duration of this week ending on Friday, September 30, 2016.

The regional staff continue to be available to provide assistance to Iowans with any casework relating to the federal government. Any phone calls to the Cedar Rapids office—(319) 363-6832—will be forwarded to other nearby regional offices. Regional Director Fred Schuster from the Cedar Rapids office will remain in Cedar Rapids and will conduct work in the field, staff member Gary Fisher will be working out of Ladd Public Library located at 3750 Williams Boulevard SW in Cedar Rapids from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Central for constituents who want to stop in to start or discuss a case, and staff member Zach Beck will be working out of the Waterloo regional office.

Should residents have issues concerning flooding or otherwise have issues with which they need assistance in dealing with the federal government, they are encouraged to contact Grassley’s other regional offices or contact his office in Washington, D.C., through the end of this week.
