Grassley Reports Gains for Military Construction Projects in Iowa
-- Sen. Chuck Grassley said that the Senate has approved several Iowa National Guard projects as part of a spending plan for military construction across the country.
"Federal funding for these projects is an investment in the lives of Iowans," Grassley said. "The money will help ensure that our military facilities are running effectively and efficiently."
Grassley worked to include the following funding items for the Iowa National Guard in the bill:
- $2,713,000 to upgrade the Estherville Readiness Center.
- $7,342,000 to upgrade airfield facilities at the Des Moines Airbase.
- $27,000,000 to upgrade airfield facilities at the Sioux City Airbase.
