This morning, Grassley will be in Grundy Center and Tama for meetings on strategies to fight drug abuse. Following those meetings, Grassley will travel to Belle Plaine where he will meet with high school students. Grassley will spend the afternoon in Cedar Rapids, where he will visit Pharmacy Care Associates, tour the Cedar Rapids Intermodal Transit Facility, and meet staff at Cedar Valley Montessori School and Daycare. For his final meeting on Tuesday, Grassley will meet with Jones county residents in Anamosa to discuss drug abuse and methamphetamine.
On Wednesday, Grassley will begin his day at Rockwell Collins in Manchester. Grassley will tour the facility and discuss economic development issues with local officials. Following the Manchester meeting, Grassley will be in Dubuque for a tour of Swiss Valley Farms. At noon, he will attend the Rotary Club meeting in Maquoketa. Grassley will then conclude the day with a tour of Clinton Retail Packaging in Clinton and a tour of HWH Corporation near Moscow.
Grassley's Thursday schedule will begin with a visit to the Great River AmeriCorps Project site in Muscatine. During the noon hour, Grassley will meet with Rotarians in Washington. He will then travel to Keota for a meeting with students at Keota High School. Grassley will conclude the day with a open forum in West Des Moines on methamphetamine and drug abuse.
On Friday, Grassley will tour American Home Products in Fort Dodge. Following that tour, he will meet with students at Humboldt Junior High. During the noon hour Grassley will have lunch with staff and residents at the Rotary Club of Eagle Grove Home in Eagle Grove. The home is an assisted-living facility. Grassley will tour the home after meeting with the staff and residents. For his final stop of the week, Grassley will be in Ames to attend a speech at Stephens Auditorium by Elizabeth Dole, which is being sponsored by the Carrie Chapman Catt Center for Women and Politics.
