WASHINGTON – Senator Chuck Grassley of Iowa made the following comment on President Trump’s travel to Mar-a-Lago.
“Some of the expense for presidential travel is for his security and national security and beyond his control. Still, the President should always be a good steward of taxpayer money. Excessive government spending is a problem, and the President and members of Congress need to lead by example. The primary place of business and residence for the President is and should be the White House, but it’s inaccurate to describe all travel elsewhere as all vacation when work is being done.”
