Here is information about Senator Grassley’s schedule this week.  The Senate is in session.  

 
Senator Grassley will meet with Iowans in Washington, D.C., from the Iowa League of Postmasters, AGFE Local 2955 Iowa Air National Guard, AGFE Local 2119 Rock Island Arsenal, the IRS Local Taxpayer Advocate for Iowa, the American Pharmacy Association, the Iowa Rural Water Association, Habitat for Humanity International, the American Medical Association, the Iowa Lions Eye Bank, Iowa State University Dean of Engineering Sarah Rajala and University of Northern Iowa President Bill Ruud.  Grassley will also meet with representatives from Eastern Iowa Community College in Davenport, Kirkwood Community College in Cedar Rapids, Western Iowa Tech Community College in Sioux City, North Iowa Area Community College in Mason City, Iowa Lakes Community College in Estherville, Northwest Iowa Community College in Sheldon, Iowa Valley Community College in Marshalltown, Iowa Western Community College in Council Bluffs and Southeastern Community College in Burlington.

Senator Grassley will meet with Iowa families from St. Ansgar and Charlotte.

Senator Grassley will be a guest on public affairs programs hosted by Bob Leonard on KNIA in Knoxville/Pella, Theresa Rose on KILJ in Mt. Pleasant, Scott Voorhees on KFAB in Omaha and Charlie Stone on KSCJ in Sioux City.

On Tuesday, February 11, at 9 a.m. (ET), Senator Grassley will participate in a Judiciary Committee hearing on the nominations of Robin Rosenbaum to be United States Circuit Judge for the Eleventh Circuit, Bruce Hendricks to be United States District Judge for the District of South Carolina, Mark Mastroianni to be United States District Judge for the District of Massachusetts and Leslie Caldwell to be Assistant Attorney General.

On Tuesday, February 11, at 10:30 a.m. (ET), Senator Grassley will participate in a Budget Committee hearing on “The Budget and Economic Outlook for Fiscal Years 2014-2024.”

On Wednesday, February 12, at 10 a.m. (ET), Senator Grassley will participate in a Judiciary Committee hearing on “The Report of the Privacy and Civil Liberties Oversight Board on Reforms to the Section 215 Telephone Records Program and the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court.”

On Wednesday, February 12, at 12:30 (ET), Senator Grassley will speak at the Iowa Association of Community College Trustees Luncheon.  Grassley will also meet with the colleges in two groups to discuss issues affecting their schools.  

On Thursday, February 13, at 10 a.m. (ET), Senator Grassley will participate in the weekly executive business meeting of the Senate Judiciary Committee.  The committee may consider the nominations of Steven Paul Logan to be United States District Judge for the District of Arizona, John Joseph Tuchi to be United States District Judge for the District of Arizona, Diane J. Humetewa to be United States District Judge for the District of Arizona, Rosemary Marquez to be United States District Judge for the District of Arizona, Douglas L. Rayes to be United States District Judge for the District of Arizona, James Alan Soto to be United States District Judge for the District of Arizona.  The committee may also consider S. 1675, the Recidivism Reduction and Public Safety Act of 2013, sponsored by Senators Sheldon Whitehouse and Rob Portman, and S. 149, the STOP Identity Theft Act of 2013, sponsored by Senators Amy Klobuchar and Jeff Sessions.
