Senator Grassley will meet with Iowans in Washington, D.C., from the Iowa National Guard Association, Enlisted Association, and Warrant Officers Association; the Association of Maternal and Child Health Programs; the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development; the Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) Association; Iowa Corn Growers; the National Federation of the Blind of Iowa; Practical Farmers of Iowa; the Council for International Visitors to Iowa Cities (CIVIC); Dordt College President Erik Hoekstra; and Iowa State University President Steven Leath.
Senator Grassley will meet with an Iowa family visiting Washington, D.C., from Cedar Falls.

On Tuesday, January 28, at 2:30 p.m. (ET), Senator Grassley will meet with Darci Vetter, the President’s nominee to be the chief agricultural negotiator for the office of United States Trade Representative.
On Tuesday, January 28, at 8 p.m. (ET), Senator Grassley will attend the President’s State of the Union address in the U.S. Capitol.
On Wednesday, January 29, at 10 a.m. (ET), Senator Grassley will participate in a Judiciary Committee hearing on “Oversight of the U.S. Department of Justice.” Attorney General Eric Holder will appear before the committee to answer questions. Senator Grassley is Ranking Member of the Judiciary Committee.
On Thursday, January 30, at 10 a.m. (ET), Senator Grassley will participate in the weekly executive business meeting of the Senate Judiciary Committee. The committee may consider S. 619, the Justice Safety Valve Act of 2013, sponsored by Senators Patrick Leahy and Rand Paul; S.1410, the Smarter Sentencing Act of 2013, sponsored by Senators Dick Durbin, Mike Lee, Leahy, and Sheldon Whitehouse; and S. 1675, the Recidivism Reduction and Public Safety Act of 2013, sponsored by Senators Whitehouse and Rob Portman.
On Thursday, January 30, at 10 a.m. (ET), the Finance Committee will hold a hearing to consider the nomination of Dr. Karen Dynan to be Assistant Secretary of the Treasury.
