Senator Grassley will meet with Iowans in Washington, D.C., from the Window and Door Manufacturers Association, the Iowa Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, the Iowa Section of the American Water Works Association, the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, the National Lumber and Building Material Dealers Association, the American Association for Respiratory Care, Whiterock Conservancy, the American Occupational Therapy Association, the American Rental Association, the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America’s Southeastern Iowa Synod, the Dubuque Chamber of Commerce, United Food and Commercial Workers, the University of Iowa Associate Provost for Graduate Education John Keller, the American Cable Association, the American Association of Orthopedic Surgeons, and the Iowa-Nebraska Equipment Dealers Association.
Senator Grassley will meet with Iowa families from Aplington, Dubuque and Cedar Rapids.

On Tuesday, April 1, at 10 a.m. (ET), Senator Grassley will participate in a Judiciary Committee hearing on the nominations of Beth Bloom to be United States District Judge for the Southern District of Florida, Paul G. Byron to be United States District Judge for the Middle District of Florida, Darrin P. Gayles to be United States District Judge for the Southern District of Florida, and Carlos Eduardo Mendoza to be United States District Judge for the Middle District of Florida.
On Thursday, April 3, at 10 a.m. (ET), Senator Grassley will participate in the weekly executive business meeting of the Senate Judiciary Committee. The committee may consider the nominations of Cheryl Ann Krause to be United States Circuit Judge for the Third Circuit, Richard Franklin Boulware II to be United States District Judge for the District of Nevada, Salvador Mendoza, Jr. to be United States District Judge for the Eastern District of Washington, Staci Michelle Yandle to be United States District Judge for the Southern District of Illinois, and Leon Rodriguez to be Director of the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services, Department of Homeland Security. The committee may also consider S.1720, the Patent Transparency and Improvements Act of 2013, sponsored by Senators Patrick Leahy, Mike Lee, Amy Klobuchar and Sheldon Whitehouse.
On Thursday, April 3, at 11:30 a.m. (ET), Senator Grassley will meet with Ryan Davis, assistant principal at Vinton-Shellsburg High School. Davis was named by School Administrators of Iowa as the 2013-2014 Iowa Assistant Principal of the Year.
