Senator Grassley met with Iowans in Washington, D.C., from the National Association of Mutual Insurance Companies and the Carroll County Chamber of Commerce. Senator Grassley will meet with Iowans in Washington, D.C., from the Lupus Foundation; the Iowa Health Care Association; the Iowa Center for Assisted Living; the National Biodiesel Board meeting; Iowa State University President Steven Leath; Deans of the University of Iowa Colleges of Business, Medicine, and Nursing; the Iowa Automobile Dealers Association and the American Truck Dealers; Growth Energy; the Ames Chamber of Commerce; the Iowa Renewable Fuels Associaton; and the National Association for Fixed Annuities.
Senator Grassley will meet with Iowa families from Odebolt, Cedar Rapids, Keokuk, Des Moines, Urbandale, Slater, North Liberty, Clive, Cedar Falls, Norwalk, Creston, Brooklyn, Iowa City, West Des Moines, and Ames.
Senator Grassley will meet with Iowa students from the AIM Institute in Council Bluffs, the West Lyon High School Future Farmers of America, Glenwood Middle School, the Iowa Rural Cooperatives Youth Tour, and Iowa students in Washington, D.C., for National History Day.
Senator Grassley will be a guest on a public affairs program hosted Gary Edwards on KXEL in Waterloo.

On Wednesday, June 17, at 10 a.m. (ET), Senator Grassley will participate in a Budget Committee hearing on “The Congressional Budget Office’s Long Term Fiscal Outlook for the Nation.” Keith Hall, the Director of the Congressional Budget Office, will testify.
On Thursday, June 18, at 10 a.m. (ET), Senator Grassley will participate in a Finance Committee hearing, “Dead End, No Turn Around, Danger Ahead: Challenges to the Future of Highway Funding.”
On Thursday, June 18, at 11:50 a.m. (ET), Senator Grassley will meet with the Iowa Jefferson Award recipients Margo Ahrendsen and Dennis Haut. Through local media partners, the local Jefferson Award for “Unsung Heroes” honors those who are making an impact in their communities. Ahrendsen was selected by KCRG TV and The Gazette in Cedar Rapids for her work with Iowans with special needs. Haut was selected by WQAD News 8 in Davenport for his dedication to helping those recover from addiction. More information about the award can be found here.
