Here is information about Senator Grassley’s schedule this week.  The Senate is in session.

Senator Grassley will meet with Iowans in Washington, D.C., from the Cedar Valley Cancer Committee’s Beyond Pink TEAM, the Oskaloosa Community School District, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (Rock Island), the Greater Omaha Chamber of Commerce, the American Network of Community Options and Resources (ANCOR), the Iowa Rural Electric Cooperative (REC), the Iowa Bankers Association, the Iowa Automobile Dealers Association, the Iowa State Education Association and Vets4Energy. 

Senator Grassley will meet with Iowa families from Dunkerton, Gowrie, Eldridge, Mason City, Diagonal, Des Moines and Altoona.

Senator Grassley was a guest on public affairs programs hosted by Fred Hoffman on KCPS radio in Burlington, Captain Steve, KCJJ radio in Iowa City and Cindy Kohlmann on KDTH radio in Dubuque and will be a guest on public affairs programs hosted by Theresa Rose on KILJ radio in Mt. Pleasant, Sally Hart on KCII radio in Washington, Mike Adams on AgriTalk, Scott Voorhees on KFAB radio in Omaha and Jim Fisher on WOC radio in Davenport.

Senator Grassley will run with Iowa students from Morningside College in Sioux City.  

On Tuesday, Sept. 29, at 10 a.m. (ET), Senator Grassley will participate in a Finance Committee hearing on “Financial and Economic Challenges in Puerto Rico.”

On Wednesday, Sept. 30, at 10 a.m. (ET), Senator Grassley will convene a Judiciary Committee hearing considering the nominations of Brian R. Martinotti to be a United States District Judge for the District of New Jersey, Julien Xavier Neals to be a United States District Judge for the District of New Jersey, Robert F. Rossiter, Jr. to be a United States District Judge for the District of Nebraska and Edward L. Stanton III to be a United States District Judge for the Western District of Tennessee.

On Thursday, Oct. 1, at 10 a.m. (ET), Senator Grassley will preside over the weekly executive business meeting of the Senate Judiciary Committee.  The committee may consider S. 1814, the Stop Sanctuary Cities Act, sponsored by Senators David Vitter and Jeff Flake.

On Thursday, Oct. 1, at 10 a.m. (ET), Senator Grassley will participate in a Finance Committee hearing on “Improper Payments in Federal Programs.”

On Thursday, Oct. 1, at 2 p.m. (ET), Senator Grassley will participate in a Judiciary Subcommittee on Immigration and the National Interest hearing on “Oversight of the Administration’s FY 2016 Refugee Resettlement Program: Fiscal and Security Implications.”
