Here is information about Senator Grassley’s schedule this week.  The Senate is in session.  

Senator Grassley will meet with Iowans in Washington, D.C., from the Iowa City, Coralville, North Liberty Chamber of Commerce; the Iowa Food Bank Association; Iowa Veterans of Foreign Wars; the Shot@Life Campaign; the American Academy of Neurology; the Iowa Association of Agricultural Educators; Paralyzed Veterans of America; A Brotherhood Aimed Towards Education (ABATE) of Iowa; Iowa AMVETS; Community Cancer Centers; the Iowa Finance Authority; the American Cable Association; the Upper Mississippi, Illinois and Missouri Rivers Association; the Iowa-Nebraska Equipment Dealers Association; the Iowa Interstate Railroad; and the Denison Job Corps Center.  Senator Grassley will also meet with Iowa Treasurer Mike Fitzgerald.

Senator Grassley will meet with Iowa college students visiting Washington, D.C., with Big 12 on the Hill and Iowa high school students with the National Policy Seminar. 
Senator Grassley was a guest on a public affairs program hosted by Gary Sadlemyer on KFAB radio in Omaha and will be a guest on public affairs programs hosted by Greg Haubrich on WGEM radio in Quincy, Doug Wagner on WMT radio in Cedar Rapids, Cindy Kohlmann on KDTH radio in Dubuque, Dan Kennedy and Dan Deibert on WOC radio in Davenport, and Charlie Stone on KSCJ radio in Sioux City. 

On Tuesday, March 1, at 10 a.m. (ET), Senator Grassley will participate in a Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition, and Forestry mark up to consider legislation that would ensure there isn’t a patchwork of state labeling laws for food products.

On Tuesday, March 1, at 10:30 a.m. (ET), Senator Grassley will participate in a Finance Committee hearing on “The Multiemployer Pension Plan System: Recent Reforms and Current Challenges.” 

On Tuesday, March 1, at 11:30 a.m. (ET), Senator Grassley will meet with President Barack Obama and Senators Mitch McConnell, Harry Reid and Patrick Leahy to discuss the Supreme Court vacancy and opioid legislation. 

On Thursday, March 3, at 10 a.m. (ET), Senator Grassley will preside over the weekly executive business meeting of the Senate Judiciary Committee.  The committee may consider S. 247, the Expatriate Terrorist Act, sponsored by Senators Ted Cruz, Grassley, Mike Lee and Roy Blunt, and S. 2390, the Federal Bureau of Investigation Whistleblower Protection Enhancement Act of 2015, sponsored by Senators Grassley, Patrick Leahy, Thom Tillis, Ron Wyden, Mark Kirk, Claire McCaskill and Ron Johnson.  The committee may also consider the nominations of Elizabeth J. Drake to be a Judge of the United States Court of International Trade, Jennifer Choe Groves to be a Judge of the United States Court of International Trade, Gary Stephen Katzmann to be a Judge of the United States Court of International Trade and Clare E. Connors to be United States District Judge for the District of Hawaii. 

On Thursday, March 3, at 10 a.m. (ET), Senator Grassley will participate in a Finance Committee hearing on “Free Trade Implementation: Lessons from the Past.”
