Here is information about Senator Grassley’s schedule this week.  The Senate is in session.


Senator Grassley will meet with Iowans in Washington, D.C., from the Iowa Council on Foundations, the National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials, the Iowa Wholesale Beer Distributors Association, the Children Advocacy Summit, the Iowa Cattlemen’s Association, the Iowa Military Officers Association, the Iowa Restaurant Association, the Iowa Biotech Association, the American Osteopathic Association, the Siouxland Chamber, the Quad Cities Chamber and the Independent Insurance Agents of Iowa Association.

Senator Grassley will meet with Iowa students visiting Washington, D.C., from the University of Iowa, Western Iowa Tech Community College, the Iowa 4-H Delegates and Le Mars Middle School.

Senator Grassley will meet with Iowa families visiting Washington, D.C., from Sioux City, Dumont, Indianola and Des Moines.
Senator Grassley will be a guest on public affairs programs with Jim Turbes on KWBG radio in Boone and Doug Wagner on WMT radio in Cedar Rapids.

On Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at 10 a.m. (ET), Senator Grassley will participate in a Finance Committee hearing on “Cybersecurity and Protecting Taxpayer Information.”
 
On Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at 10 a.m. (ET), Senator Grassley will preside over a Judiciary Committee hearing on “The Distortion of EB-5 Targeted Employment Areas: Time to End the Abuse.” Grassley has been conducting oversight of the program for five years.  Over the course of his investigation, national security vulnerabilities, fraud and abuse, and preferential treatment by agency officials have been revealed. 
 
On Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. (ET), Senator Grassley will participate in a Budget Committee hearing on “Budgeting for Outcomes to Maximize Taxpayer Value.”
 
On Thursday, April 14, at 10 a.m. (ET), Senator Grassley will preside over the weekly executive business meeting of the Senate Judiciary Committee.  The committee may consider S. 247, the Expatriate Terrorist Act, sponsored by Senators Ted Cruz, Grassley, Mike Lee and Roy Blunt;  S. 2390, the Federal Bureau of Investigation Whistleblower Protection Enhancement Act of 2015, sponsored by Senators Grassley, Patrick Leahy, Orrin Hatch, Thom Tillis, Ron Wyden, Mark Kirk, Claire McCaskill, Ron Johnson and Ed Markey;  S.2613, the Adam Walsh Reauthorization Act of 2016, sponsored by Senators Grassley, Chuck Schumer, Hatch and Dianne Feinstein; and  S.2614, Kevin and Avonte's Law of 2016, sponsored by Senators Schumer, Grassley and Tillis.  The committee may also consider the nominations of Elizabeth J. Drake to be a Judge of the United States Court of International Trade, Jennifer Choe Groves to be a Judge of the United States Court of International Trade, Gary Stephen Katzmann to be a Judge of the United States Court of International Trade and Clare E. Connors to be United States District Judge for the District of Hawaii.
