Here is information about Senator Grassley’s schedule this week.  The Senate is in session.

Senator Grassley will meet with Iowans in Washington, D.C., from the Iowa Ecumenical Community, the Iowa Board of Regents, the Iowa Bar Association, the Iowa Academy of Physicians, Iowa Epilepsy Services, the National Broadband Association, the Iowa Pork Producers, the Iowa Juvenile Justice Advisory Council and the Iowa Association of Community Providers.

Senator Grassley will meet with Iowa students visiting Washington, D.C., from Ogden High School, Sioux Central Middle School, North Polk High School and Iowa State University. 

Senator Grassley will meet with Iowa families visiting Washington, D.C., from Coralville, Ames, Des Moines, Iowa City, Guttenberg and Cedar Rapids.

Senator Grassley was a guest on WTAD radio with Sean and Quaid in Quincy and will be a guest on public affairs programs with Bob Leonard on KNIA/KRLS radio in Knoxville/Pella and with Mike Adams on AgriTalk.

On Monday, April 18, 2016 at 9:15 a.m. (ET), Senator Grassley had a Skype meeting with 7th graders from Prairie City Middle School.
 
On Monday, April 18, 2016 at 10:45 a.m. (ET), Senator Grassley attended an Eastern Iowa Honor Flight.
 
On Monday, April 18, 2016 at 5:30 p.m. (ET), Senator Grassley will participate in a Finance Committee Executive Session. The committee may consider the nominations of Andrew Lamont Eanes; Elizabeth Ann Copeland; and Vik Edwin Stoll.
 
On Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at 4 p.m. (ET), Senator Grassley will meet with community and business leaders from Mason City and Clear Lake.

On Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at 6:15 p.m. (ET), Senator Grassley will receive an American Bar Association Justice Award for “his bipartisan support on a variety of issues of importance to the legal profession and the administration of justice,” including his leadership on the Sentencing Reform and Corrections Act, an historic criminal justice reform bill that Senator Grassley led through the Judiciary Committee.
 
On Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at 10 a.m. (ET), Senator Grassley will participate in a Judiciary Committee hearing on judicial nominees. The committee may consider the nominations of Inga S. Bernstein to be United States District Judge for the District of Massachusetts, Stephanie A. Gallagher to be United States District Judge for the District of Maryland, Suzanne Mitchell to be United States District Judge for the Western District of Oklahoma, Scott L. Palk to be United States District Judge for the Western District of Oklahoma and Ronald G. Russell to be United States District Judge for the District of Utah.
              
On Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at 10 a.m. (ET), Senator Grassley will participate in a Finance Committee markup of a bill to prevent identity theft and tax refund fraud and a separate markup of the “Taxpayer Protection Act of 2016,” which contains several pro-taxpayer rights provisions from Senator Grassley.

On Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. (ET), Senator Grassley will participate in a Budget Committee hearing on “Tap Dancing on the Razor’s Edge: Restoring Stability to Government Operations.” The committee will focus on ways to fix America’s broken budget process by making better congressional budget decisions and restoring stability to government operations.
 
On Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at 4 p.m. (ET), Senator Grassley will meet with community and business leaders from Pella.

On Thursday, April 21, 2016 at 2 p.m. (ET), Senator Grassley will participate in a Finance Committee hearing on “Oversight on the United States Customs and Border Protection Agency.”
