Here is information about Senator Grassley's schedule this week. The Senate is in session.

Senator Grassley will meet with Iowa families visiting Washington, D.C., from Bettendorf, Earlham, Harlan, Hampton, Britt, Charles City, Pleasant Hill, Le Mars, Toledo, La Motte, Des Moines, Rock Valley and Burlington.

Senator Grassley will meet with Iowa students visiting Washington, D.C., from Burlington High School.

Senator Grassley will be a guest on public affairs programs with Fred Hoffman on KCPS radio in Burlington, Dan and Dan on WOC radio in Davenport, Mike Adams on AgriTalk radio and Sally Hart on KCII radio in Washington.

On Wednesday, July 6, 2016, at 10 a.m. (ET), Senator Grassley will participate in a House and Senate Conferees meeting on the Comprehensive Addiction and Recovery Act (CARA). CARA allocates federal resources to combat the rising heroin and opioid epidemic in the United States. Senator Grassley led the bipartisan bill through the Senate Judiciary Committee in February and to passage in the Senate in March. The House of Representatives passed several bills to address opioid and heroin abuse in May. The meeting brings together lawmakers from both chambers to address differences in the bills passed by the two congressional bodies.
  
On Wednesday, July 6, 2016, at 3:30 p.m. (ET), Senator Grassley will attend a Joint Committee on Taxation meeting to discuss the Treasury’s proposed regulations under the Internal Revenue Code section 385.

On Thursday, July 7, 2016, at 10 a.m. (ET), Senator Grassley will preside over the weekly executive business meeting of the Senate Judiciary Committee. The committee may consider S. 247, the Expatriate Terrorist Act, and the nominations of Jennifer Klemetsrud Puhl, to be United States Circuit Judge for the Eighth Circuit, Donald C. Coggins, Jr., to be United States District Judge for the District of South Carolina, and David C. Nye, to be United States District Judge for the District of Idaho.
