Iowa National Guard Members Visit Senator Grassley


  

            WASHINGTON – Members of the Iowa National Guard recently visited with Senator Chuck Grassley while they were in Washington, D.C. The members were in Washington to help honor SFC Sean Eckhardt as the National Guard Recruiter of the year at the National Guard Director Award Banquet.

 

            “I’m glad I had the opportunity to congratulate SFC Eckhardt while he was in Washington being honored for the good work he does for the Iowa National Guard,” Grassley said. “The service the Iowa National Guard provides to Iowa and the rest of the nation is very admirable and it was an honor to talk with the whole group.”

 

            The Iowa National Guard members, spouses, and friends who met with Grassley were Rebecca Braunger of Sioux City, MAJ Matthew Dial of Des Moines, Rebecca and SGM Michael Dieger of Sioux City, Stephanie and SFC Sean Eckhardt of the Quad Cities, Heather Jacobus of Des Moines, and SGM David Wetzbarger of Sioux City
