More Than $1.4 Million to Iowa from U.S. Department of Health and Human Services


WASHINGTON – Senator Chuck Grassley today announced that the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services has awarded three competitive grants totaling $1,443,103 to Iowa.

 

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services will distribute the money as shown below.

 

·        Iowa State University in Ames will receive $659,340 for health care and other facilities.

·        Mercy Foundation in Des Moines will receive $188,100 for health care and other facilities.

·        University of Iowa in Iowa City will receive $595,663 from the National Institute on Deafness and Other Communication Disorders for a biological research project related to deafness and communicative disorders titled, "Non-Syndromic Hearing Loss – A Collaborative Study."
