More Than $1.5 Million to Ames, Dubuque, and Mount Pleasant


WASHINGTON – Chuck Grassley announced today that the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Federal Aviation Administration has awarded three grants totaling $1,615,974 to airports in Ames, Dubuque, and Mount Pleasant.

 

“This funding is intended to increase the safety and efficiency of these airports, as well as help provide important economic development opportunities in these communities,” Grassley said.

 

The funds will be distributed as follows:

 

• Ames Municipal Airport will receive $1 million for taxiway rehabilitation

• Dubuque Regional Airport will receive $200,000 for a Safety Management Study System

• Mount Pleasant Municipal Airport will receive $415,974 for apron rehabilitation
