WASHINGTON – Senator Chuck Grassley today announced that the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services has awarded two grants totaling $4,641,619 to the Iowa Department of Public Health.
The Iowa Department of Public Health will use the money to pay for hospital preparedness programs as shown below.
· $3,760,725 to help pay for a program titled, "FY09 HPP FOA."
· $880,894 to help pay for a program titled, "Pandemic Influenza Healthcare Preparedness improvements for States."
