WASHINGTON - Senator Chuck Grassley announced today that the U.S. Department of Transportation's Federal Aviation Administration awarded a grant of $5,472,358 to the Cedar Rapids Airport Commission.
"The Eastern Iowa Airport provides excellent service and safety to its users," Grassley said. "These funds will help rehabilitate one of the runways so the airport can continue to provide effective and efficient service to travelers."
The Cedar Rapids Airport Commission will use the funds to rehabilitate a runway to extend its useful life at the Eastern Iowa Airport.
