Senator Chuck Grassley released the following comment after receiving word that the U.S. Postal Service has decided to delay a final decision regarding the Sioux City mail processing center until after a review is completed by the Postal Service's Office of Inspector General. Here is Grassley's comment.
“This is good news for Sioux City. The Sioux City Community has done a good job of stating the case for a complete look at the initial proposal by the Postal Service. Today's news ensures that a full, independent review will occur before a final decision is made. The Postal Service’s favorable response to our request that they are willing to consider another perspective before making any final decision is a positive development.”
