Sen. Chuck Grassley today made the following comment on the status of legislation providing new leasing authority at the Rock Island Arsenal.
“I worked closely with Senator Ernst, the Rock Island Arsenal Development Group, and the rest of the Iowa-Illinois delegation to advance an amendment to the National Defense Authorization Act to provide new leasing authority. We had a bipartisan agreement to include our amendment in the manager’s package but an unrelated standoff prevented it from being adopted. I will continue to explore all options.”
