Senator Chuck Grassley issued the following comment about the selection of Mark Prater to serve as staff director of the Joint Select Committee on Deficit Reduction.  Grassley was either Chairman or Ranking Member of the Committee on Finance from 2001 through 2010.


“You couldn’t find a more well-qualified and well-regarded person to staff this committee.  Mark understands every aspect of the challenge.  He’s got the knowledge, judgment and character that’s needed.”
