WASHINGTON – Sen. Chuck Grassley of Iowa today released the following statement in recognition of Memorial Day.
“I hope Iowans take time today to observe Memorial Day and give proper attention to the Americans who have served in the military, those who have given their lives on the battlefield and those who have served and since passed away. That’s what this day is all about. We should honor them for their service and sacrifice to this nation, as well as their families who also give so much and ask for nothing in return.”
