$10,000 to Iowa State University from the National Science Foundation

WASHINGTON - Senator Chuck Grassley recently said that Iowa State University has received a $10,000 competitive grant from the National Science Foundation.

Iowa State will use the money to fund support for undergraduate and graduate student paper competition during the 47th Annual Technical Meeting of the Society of Engineering Science.

Each year, thousands of local Iowa organizations, colleges and universities, individuals and state agencies apply for competitive grants and loans from the federal government.  The funding is then awarded based on each local organization or individual’s ability to meet criteria set by the federal entity.
