WASHINGTON – Senator Chuck Grassley today announced that Drake University received a $100,000 competitive grant from the U.S. Department of Education through the Rehabilitation Long-Term Training – Job Development and Job Placement Services to Individuals with Disabilities program.
“These funds will help Drake offer a graduate program for vocational rehabilitation students interested in specializing in job placement services for individuals with disabilities,” Grassley said.
Drake University will use the money to help provide an M.S. in rehabilitation counseling with a specialization in job placement to students who plan to work for the state-federal rehabilitation program. This training should allow graduates to be specifically prepared to work with individuals with disabilities through demonstrated job placement strategies.
