WASHINGTON - Senator Chuck Grassley today said that the University of Northern Iowa has received a $158,754 competitive grant from the National Science Foundation.
The university’s project, titled “Collaborative Research: Multi-band Differential Code-Shifted Reference Technology for Ultra Wide Band Radio Applied to Intra-Vehicle Wireless Control and Communications Systems” will be funded with this grant.
Each year, thousands of local Iowa organizations, colleges and universities, individuals and state agencies apply for competitive grants and loans from the federal government. The funding is then awarded based on each local organization or individual’s ability to meet criteria set by the federal entity.
