$238,000 for Advanced Manufacturing Training to Hawkeye Community College

WASHINGTON - Senator Chuck Grassley today said that the U.S. Department of Labor has released $238,000 to Hawkeye Community College in Waterloo through the regular appropriations process.

“These funds will help Hawkeye Community College provide advanced training for workers to be employed in the local manufacturing sector workforce,” Grassley said.

According to the U.S. Department of Labor, Hawkeye Community College will use the money to help provide advanced manufacturing training to 100 participants to help them gain or retain employment in the industry. The project will partner with Iowa Work Region 7 and the local workforce area to serve participants and accomplish performance goals.
