WASHINGTON – Senator Chuck Grassley today announced that the U.S. Department of Education has awarded a $396,610 grant to the Keokuk Community School District through the Elementary and Secondary School Counseling Demonstration program.
“These funds will help provide counseling programs for elementary and secondary school kids in the Keokuk Community School District,” Grassley said.
Keokuk Community School District will use the money to help establish or expand counseling programs through hiring qualified school counselors, school social workers, school psychologists, or child and adolescent psychiatrists to help expand the range, availability, quantity and quality of counseling services available.
