WASHINGTON - Senator Chuck Grassley today announced that Iowa State University has received a competitive grant of $477,000 from the National Science Foundation.
Iowa State University will use the money to help pay for a research project titled, “Arabidopsis 2010: A New Pathway for GSH Metabolism in Plants.” By studying GSH, Iowa State University hopes to help create plants that are more resistant to environmental stresses so crops maintain their yields under unfavorable conditions.
