WASHINGTON – Senator Chuck Grassley today announced that the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services has awarded two grants totaling $514,603 to Iowa State University and the University of Iowa.
Iowa State University will receive $204,999 for a project titled “Use of RecA to Promote Gene Targeting.”
The University of Iowa will receive $309,604 for a pharmacology, physiology and biological chemistry research project titled, “Discovery and characterization of new bacterial cell division genes.”
