$649,867 to Iowa from U.S. Department of Health and Human Services


WASHINGTON – Senator Chuck Grassley today announced that the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services has awarded two competitive grants totaling $649,867 to Iowa.

 

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services will distribute the money as shown below.

 

·        The University of Iowa in Iowa City will receive $499,900 from the National Center for Research Resources to help pay for a biomedical research project titled, "Flow Cytometry Cell Sorter."

·        University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics in Iowa City will receive $149,967 for universal newborn hearing screenings.
