WASHINGTON – Chuck Grassley today announced that the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development has awarded grants totaling $820,071 to Iowa through the Multi-Family Service Coordinator Program.
“Care for Iowa’s most vulnerable has always been a priority. This grant should give many elderly and disabled Iowans access to beneficial services that will allow them to continue living independently,” Grassley said.
This funding will be used to employ Service Coordinators in assisted living facilities. Service Coordinators are social service staff responsible for assuring that residents are able to access the services they need to continue living independently.
The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development has awarded funds as described below.

•Sioux Falls Environmental Access Inc. (Sioux City) - $209,616
•Sioux Falls Environmental Access Inc. (Sioux City) - $175,501
