$842,473 to Iowa Universities from the National Science Foundation


 

WASHINGTON - Senator Chuck Grassley today said that Iowa State University and the University of Iowa have received funds totaling $842,473 in four competitive grants from the National Science Foundation. 

 

Below is the allocation of funding for Iowa State University

 

·        $300,000 for a project titled “Understanding Rheology of Cement-based Materials through Intergrated Experiments and Computations at Multiple Scales.”

·        $198,601 for a project titled “AF: Small: Collaborative Research: Studies in nonuniformity, completeness, and reachability.”

·        $168,872 for a project titled “Needs Assessment of Chemistry Instructors for Educational Measurement Professional Development Materials.”

 

The University of Iowa was awarded $175,000 for a project titled “RIG: Structural Biology of the Soil Bacterium M. Xanthus Development and Motility.”
