WASHINGTON – Senator Chuck Grassley today announced that the U.S. Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration has awarded a $90,000 grant to Western Iowa Tech Community College in Sioux City.
The school will use the funds to provide safety and health training educational programs for workers and employers.
Each year, thousands of local Iowa organizations, colleges and universities, individuals and state agencies apply for competitive grants and loans from the federal government. The funding is then awarded based on each local organization or individual’s ability to meet criteria set by the federal entity administering the funds.
