$925,638 to the University of Iowa


            WASHINGTON – Senator Chuck Grassley today said that the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services has awarded four competitive grants totaling $925,638 to the University of Iowa.

 

           The University of Iowa will receive the grant funds as described below.

 

·        $372,317 from the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute to help pay for a research project titled, "Mechanisms and Meanings of Impaired Microvascular Responses in Human Sepsis."

·        $300,874 from the National Cancer Institute to help pay for a research project titled, "Chemoradiotherapy for Multiple Myeloma."

·        $274,247 from the National Cancer Institute to help pay for a research project titled, "Mechanism of Dnmt1 Up-regulation by Fhit Loss."

·        $249,000 from the National Cancer Institute to help pay for a research project titled, "Monoclonal Antibody-Induced NK Cell Activation and Complement."
