WASHINGTON – Senator Chuck Grassley announced today that Iowa State University received a competitive grant totaling $97,000 from the U.S. Department of Commerce's National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration.
"These funds will allow Iowa State University to work in collaboration with other institutions to create improved seasonal forecasts," Grassley said.
The funds will help pay for a team of investigators from five institutions to collaborate and produce downscaled seasonal forecasts in response to the white paper disseminated by the Climate Prediction Program for Americas.
