City of Thayer to Receive Grant, Grassley Announces


? The City of Thayer will receive a federal grant of $2,900 to shingle the roof of the community center, Sen. Chuck Grassley announced today.

The grant came from the U.S. Department of Agriculture's rural development program. "I'm pleased to see financial support for an important community maintenance project," Grassley said. "This money will be put to good use by the City of Thayer."
