WASHINGTON — Senator Chuck Grassley today announced that the U.S. Department of Education has awarded a grant of $117,093 to the University of Iowa through the Disabilities Program.
“These funds will go a long way towards improving opportunities and outcomes for college students with disabilities,” Grassley said.
The University of Iowa will use the money to help fund a program titled, “Universal Access: Creating Accessible Higher Education Opportunities.” The program will help improve postsecondary educational experiences and outcomes of students with disabilities through the development of comprehensive training materials and professional development opportunities designed specifically for postsecondary administrators and educators.
