WASHINGTON- Senator Chuck Grassley today announced that the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services has awarded three grants totaling $150,000 to Iowa for mental health and substance abuse services.
“These funds will help provide Iowa residents with important information and coordinated services to help with mental health and substance abuse problems,” Grassley said.
The grant funds from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services will be distributed as shown below.
v Dubuque County Safe Youth Coalition in Epworth will receive a $50,000 grant to help fund a project titled, “Dubuque County Safe Youth Coalition STOP Underage Drinking Project.”
v Helping Services for Northeast Iowa in Decorah will receive a $50,000 grant to help fund a project titled, “Valley Community Coalition Initiative.”
v Mason City will receive a $50,000 grant to help fund a project titled, “Mason City Youth Task Force.”
