WASHINGTON – Senator Chuck Grassley announced today that the U.S. Department of Commerce, Economic Development Administration, has awarded a $240,000 grant to Iowa State University.
“These funds will help Iowa State share its research and provide technical assistance to help communities around Iowa to overcome economic development challenges,” Grassley said.
The funds will be used to help the Center for Industrial Research and Service at Iowa State provide technical assistance and research and development tools that will help increase productivity, spur innovation and entrepreneurship, and increase long-term regional competitiveness and economic diversification in the most distressed areas of Iowa.
