Grassley: $402,457 to Iowa Central Community College from U.S. Department of Justice

WASHINGTON – Senator Chuck Grassley today said that the U.S. Department of Justice has released $402,457 to Iowa Central Community College in Fort Dodge for law enforcement and first responder training. Grassley helped secure these funds in the fiscal 2008 appropriations process.

“Iowa Central Community College has developed a one-stop training center for our law enforcement. These funds will help continue to provide the necessary training that police and first responders need to continue to keep Iowa communities safe,” Grassley said.

Iowa Central Community College will provide basic, intermediate and advanced levels of homeland security training for first responders and related public agencies. The training will be broken down by professional and volunteer disciplines.
