WASHINGTON – Senator Chuck Grassley today said that the U.S. Department of Justice, Office of Justice Programs has released $134,152 in federal funds to the Iowa Governor’s Office of Drug Control Policy for the Drug Endangered Children Program. The funding was included in the fiscal 2008 Commerce, Justice and Science Appropriations bill.
“These funds will help those kids who have suffered from the horrible effects of meth labs and drugs,” Grassley said.
The Iowa Governor’s Office of Drug Control Policy will use the funds for the Drug Endangered Children Program which helps children who have suffered physical and psychological effects associated with exposure to dangerous chemicals, abuse and neglect from being present at methamphetamine laboratories.
