WASHINGTON — Senator Chuck Grassley said today that the U.S. Department of Agriculture is awarding a $42,280 grant to the Buy Fresh Buy Local of Siouxland. The funding which totaled $3,445,000 nationally was directed by the new farm bill to spread the use of farmers markets.
"These funds will help strengthen the ties that farmers have to the communities and vice versa, as well as help provide consumers with more choices to by locally grown food," Grassley said.
