WASHINGTON- Senator Chuck Grassley today announced that the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Office of Rural Development has awarded a $456,000 loan and $50,000 grant to Pocahontas through the Community Facility Loan and Grant program.
The funds will be used to construct a child care center in Pocahontas and will serve approximately 50 children. The services of the center include before-and-after school care.

Iowa . This funding will help better serve the residents of Pocahontas,” Grassley said.
The Community Facility Loan and Grant program provides funding to develop essential community facilities in rural areas and towns with a population up to 20,000 for construction, enlargement, improvement for health care, public safety and public services.
