WASHINGTON – Senator Chuck Grassley today announced that the U.S. Department of Justice, Office of Justice Programs has released funds of $600,000 to the Iowa Criminal and Juvenile Justice Planning Agency in Des Moines through the 2008 Formula Grants Program.
“These funds will help prevent Iowa’s youth from entering the juvenile justice system,” Grassley said.
The Iowa Criminal and Juvenile Justice Planning Agency will use the funds to support delinquency prevention and intervention efforts and juvenile justice system improvements.
