WASHINGTON - Senator Chuck Grassley today announced that Iowa State University and the University of Iowa have received grants totaling $4,149,391 from the National Science Foundation.
“Both Iowa State University and the University of Iowa have had long traditions of excellent research,” Grassley said. “These funds will allow both universities to continue in that tradition.”
The National Science Foundation has awarded funds to facilitate projects, as described below.

Iowa State University will receive $3,250,000 to help fund a cooperative agreement titled “NSF Engineering Research Center for Biorenewable Chemicals.”

The University of Iowa will receive $899,391 to help fund a project titled “CDI-Type II: Understanding Water-Human Dynamics with Intelligent Digital Watersheds.”
