Grassley: $724,784 to Iowa from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services


  

            WASHINGTON – Senator Chuck Grassley today announced that the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services has awarded four grants totaling $724,784 to Iowa.

 

The funds have been awarded as described below.

 

v Iowa Sports Foundation in Ames will receive $95,305 from the National Center for Chronic Disease Prevention and Health Promotion to help pay for a project titled, “Live Healthy Iowa.”

v Iowa State Department of Public Health in Des Moines will receive $118,488 from the National Center for Environmental Health to help pay for a uniform national health program reporting system project titled, “Surveillance of Risk Factors & HLT Effects Related To Harmful Algal Blooms in Iowa.”

v Iowa State Department of Public Health in Des Moines will receive $258,978 from the Coordinating Office for Terrorism Preparedness and Emergency Response to help pay for a project titled, “Iowa Automated Electronic Influenza Reporting.”

v Iowa State University in Ames will receive $252,013 from the National Center for Research Resources to help pay for a project titled, “Meta!Blast: An Immersive Interactive Learning Module for Cell Biology.”
