Grassley Announces $50,000 to Iowa from Economic Development Administration

            WASHINGTON – Senator Chuck Grassley today announced that the Department of Commerce, Economic Development Administration is awarding a $50,000 grant to the East Central Iowa Council of Governments.

 

            “This project will help generate economic growth and jobs in these counties,” Grassley said.

            The East Central Iowa Council of Governments will use the funds to develop and implement a comprehensive economic development strategy in Benton, Iowa, Johnson, Jones, Linn and Washington counties that supports private capital investment and job creation to diversify and strengthen the regional economy.
