Grassley Announces Grant for Biomass Study


? Chariton Valley Resource Conservation and Development, Inc. will receive a $20,000 federal grant for a biomass study, Sen. Chuck Grassley announced today.

The grant from the federal Economic Development Administration will be used for a feasibility study of blending biomass with plastic resin for use as filler in industrial injection molding, extrusion or compression molding.

"I'm glad to see financial support for efforts to build up Iowa's industrial base," Grassley said.
