WASHINGTON – Senator Chuck Grassley today announced that his Cedar Rapids Office has moved out if its temporary space in the Westdale Mall to a new location on 1st Avenue Northeast. Grassley's office was previously located in the Federal Building but was forced out following the 2008 flood. The new office will be open for business beginning April 13, 2009.
"Many in Cedar Rapids are still piecing their lives together in the wake of last year's flood and some are working to receive disaster assistance from the federal government. Whether it's problems with your Social Security or an issue receiving disaster recovery, my staff in the state offices works to unwind the complicated bureaucracy of federal government. I hope any Iowans with federal-agency related casework or questions will call or pay a visit to the Cedar Rapids Office."
